China's 6th International Conference on Dredging Technology Development Agenda of the meeting

The 6th International Conference on Dredging Technology Development in China, hosted by China Dredging Association (CDA) and CCCC Dredging (Group) Co ,.ltd , co-organised by Eastern Dredging Association of World Federation of Dredging Associations (EDAWDA), China Harbour Engineering Co ,.ltd  (CHEC), Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industry (Group) Co ,.ltd  (ZHIG), and organised by CCCC Guangzhou Dredging Co ,.ltd  (GWB), was held successfully at Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Centre (Futian) on 12th July.

The theme of this conference is "Dredging Innovation and Green Low Carbon - Sustainable Development", which is an important initiative to learn and practice the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, and to understand and implement the concepts of General Secretary Xi Jinping's "Two Mountains Theory" and "Harmony between Humanity and Nature". In order to better adapt to the treacherous international situation and the new requirements of green low-carbon and sustainable development, the conference focuses on the general trend of transformation and development of the dredging industry, discusses the development of new situations, new fields and new businesses, and endeavours to set up a platform for international exchanges in the industry. 2003, the conference was organised for five consecutive sessions in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Tianjin, Chongqing and Beijing. This conference is the sixth held in Shenzhen after the epidemic.

This two-day conference was set up for international exchanges, standards conference, overseas project exchanges and equipment technology exchanges, 12 industry projects, technology exchanges, the release of four group standards, industry-related academicians and experts made a keynote report. About 200 industry experts and representatives from all over the world attended the conference. The opening ceremony of the conference was hosted by Gao Wei, Secretary General of China Dredging Association. At the opening ceremony, Liu Yongman, Executive Vice President of China Dredging Association, Secretary of CPC Committee and Chairman of CCCC Dredging, read out the instructions of Zhou Jingbo, Chairman of China Dredging Association, CPC Committee Member and Vice President of CCCC, on the conference and delivered a speech; Wang Jianhua, Secretary of the Party Group and Director of Pearl River Navigation Administration of the Ministry of Transport and Wang Jianhua, Secretary of the Party Group and Director of the hosting organisation, CCCC Guangzhou Dredging, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the organisation, Jiang Song, delivered a speech; and Patricio Patto, Chairman of the Eastern Dredging Association of the World Patman, Chairman of the Eastern Dredging Association of the World Federation of Dredging Associations (WFDA), and Laboree, Chairman of the Central Dredging Association of the World Federation of Dredging Associations (WFDA), made video speeches.

Zhou Jingbo firstly welcomed the representatives of WFD and CDWA members, scholars, experts, paper authors and excellent young talents who came to the conference, and wished this conference a complete success. He pointed out that China Dredging Association (CDA) should insist on practicing the concept of ecological and environmental protection, the values of altruism and empowerment and the industry culture, continuously improve the cohesion and gradually expand the influence of the industry, and make CDA a bridge to promote the connection between China's dredging industry and the international dredging industry.

Liu Yongman pointed out that as the world's largest dredging enterprise, CCCC Dredging is a builder of beautiful China and shoulders the responsibility of leading the development of China's dredging industry. Firstly, we will insist on strengthening our leading position in the traditional dredging industry and transforming from a pioneer to a leader in China's dredging industry; secondly, we will resolutely carry out the three tasks of "scientific and technological equipment upgrading, internationalisation of the Co ,.ltd, and capital operation" entrusted by CCCC Group, and accelerate the implementation of a number of major scientific and technological projects of a strategic, global, and prospective nature; thirdly, we will insist on limited and diversified "expanding the race course"; thirdly, we will insist on limited and diversified "expanding the race course". He said that the theme of this conference, "Dredging Innovation and Green Low Carbon - Sustainable Development", fits well with the development trend of high quality in the shipping industry and the requirements of the times. At the meeting, Jiang Song firstly thanked the participating leaders and guests for their trust and support to GNA. He pointed out that dredging is closely related to human life and economic activities, and has achieved further development in the practice of water management and port construction, and that the 100-year development history of China's dredging is the epitome of China's step-by-step improvement of its international status. As a firm implementer of the national strategy, GAC has built a world-class fleet represented by the "World's First Grabbing Jin Guang" and "Asia's First Rake Dredging Ocean 1", and has demonstrated the responsibility of a central enterprise in committing to the national strategy and serving the regional economy. In the future, we will courageously take up the heavy responsibility of the development of the dredging industry, sing the main theme of green and low-carbon development, work with colleagues to build a green dredging covering the whole industry chain, and promote the dredging industry in all aspects towards the direction of intelligence, high efficiency and high quality, so as to realise the common goal of benefiting the society and developing ourselves. At the meeting, Zhang Yanfang, Chief Engineer of Yangtze River Waterway Engineering Bureau, read out the Decision on Commending Excellent Papers of the Sixth International Conference on Development of Dredging Technology in China, and the guests presented awards to the authors of excellent papers of the Sixth International Conference on Development of Dredging Technology in China. The honourable guests presented the awards to the authors of the outstanding papers of the 6th China Dredging Technology Development Conference. A total of 64 papers were received at home and abroad, and 10 excellent papers were selected after two-stage paper evaluation by the Technical Expert Committee of the Association and national dredging industry experts, as well as review and approval by the enlarged meeting of the Board of Governors of the Association.

The reports were given by Ye Qinghua, Senior Researcher/Consultant, Permanent Position of the Research Institute of the Netherlands, on the topics of "Prospect of DEME Business Technology Development", "Current Situation and Future Development Trends of the World Dredging Industry", "New Developments in Zero Emission Dredging", "Report on the Working Group on Reservoir Dredging of the World Dredging Association" and "Digital Twin of the Coastal City: Data, Models and Intelligence" respectively. In the group standard release session, CCCC Fourth Naval Engineering Survey and Design Institute Co., Ltd. made a report on "Promoting the high-quality development of building the "Belt and Road" and realising the international transformation of China's design and consulting enterprises", and CCCC (Tianjin) Eco-Environmental Protection Design and Research Institute Co. Ltd. and Antimonyway (Shanghai) Material Technology Co., Ltd. released four group standards of China Dredging Association, including "Classification and Grading Standard for Environmentally Friendly Dredged Contaminated Soil of Inland Rivers, Lakes and Reservoirs", "Dredging Underwater Motor", "Stepped Flange Steel Pipe", and "Surfacing Welded Wear Resistant Pipe for Finished Pipeline Inner Wall", etc., respectively.

Huang Daojin, Vice President of CCCC Dredging (Group) Co., Ltd. shared a report on "Loyal to Innovation Towards Deep Blue and Harmonious Coexistence-Build a World-Class Dredging, Ecological Environment and Marine Industry Group with Global Competitiveness"; Liu Baohe, Vice General Manager and Chief Engineer of China Harbour Engineering Co ,.ltd , made a report on "Analysis of Overseas Water Transportation Market"; Sun Xuliang, Deputy General Manager of CECC Harbour and Navigation Construction Co ,.ltd , made a report on "Broadening Innovation and Innovation". Sun Xuliang made a report and speech on the topic of "Broadening Innovative International Perspective, Promoting Dredging to Improve Quality and Increase Efficiency". Ltd., CCCC Tianjin Dredging Co., Ltd., CCCC Shanghai Dredging Co., Ltd. and CCCC Guangzhou Dredging Co., Ltd. shared their overseas construction experience.

In the equipment technology exchange session, the National Engineering Research Centre for Dredging Technology and Equipment, Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industry Design and Research Institute, Shanghai Centrifugal Machinery Research Institute, China Shipbuilding Corporation Seventy-eighth Research Institute and Zhuhai Yunzhou Intelligent Science and Technology Co. Ltd. respectively introduced the R&D and application of intelligent dredging operation system, design and development of offshore aquaculture equipment, efficient and environmentally friendly dredging and sludge treatment technology, the R&D history of MARIC harrow suction dredger and the innovation of LNG clean energy technology, and the application of intelligent unmanned vessels in dredging.

The 6th International Conference on Dredging Technology Development in China provides a platform for industry experts, scholars and enterprises to have extensive exchanges and cooperation. The conference has a clear theme, reflecting the challenges facing the development of the dredging industry as well as the trends for future development. The dredging industry will further implement the concept of green and ecological in the whole life cycle and whole industrial chain, always uphold the concept of open cooperation, guarding the right and innovation, and making progress together with the world dredging, and jointly explore a sustainable and high-quality development path that is green, intelligent and healthy. It is believed that with the joint efforts of everyone, the world dredging industry will present a brand new face and move towards a greener, low-carbon and sustainable future.
