On 21 August 2024, Liu Yongman, Chairman of China Dredging Association, Secretary of CPC Committee and Chairman of CCCC Dredging, and his entourage went to China Dredging Association for research.
Liu Yongman affirmed the achievements made by the association in the first half of the year, and put forward three requirements for the association: firstly, we should raise our political status, base on the new development stage, implement the new development concept completely, accurately and comprehensively, tightly focus on the major national strategies, accelerate the transformation and development of the industry, and continue to work hard in the fields of ecological and environmental protection, marine engineering, and water conservancy and water transport. Secondly, we should build a technology exchange platform for the industry, continue to build the industry's core equipment, the origin of original technology, dredging equipment updating and upgrading, optimisation of technology and technical achievements into application, and strive to remove the shackles of the key technology ‘necklace’, and enhance the international influence of China's dredging industry. Thirdly, we should play a good role as a bridge and link, take up the social responsibility of the industry, practice the ‘four services’, and play a supportive role in the exchange of information, coordination of resources and international cooperation.
For the next stage of the Association's work, Liu Yongman pointed out that a high sense of political responsibility is needed to do a good job in preparing for the 7th International Conference on Dredging (Offshore) Technology Development. The working groups should stand on the height of politics and the overall situation, seriously organise, prepare and arrange all the work of the conference, and ensure that the preparatory work of the conference is completed with high standard and quality. Secondly, it is necessary to strengthen communication with all units. To further enhance the sense of purpose, strengthen communication with industry authorities, brother associations and governing units, establish and improve the long-term communication mechanism to achieve resource sharing, complement each other's strengths, and synchronise the benefits of resources. Third, we should use a good platform to strengthen publicity. We should make full use of the platform of the International Dredging Conference to strengthen the publicity of CCCC Dredging, the Association and the governing units, so as to play a due role in promoting China's dredging enterprises to go out, enhance brand benefits and expand foreign markets.
Gao Wei, Secretary General of China Dredging Association, introduced the first half of the year's key work of China Dredging Association, such as system revision, group standard preparation, party building leadership, etc., and highlighted the preparations for China's Seventh International Conference on Dredging (Offshore Industry) Technology Development.
CCCC Dredging's General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, and Head of Office; and relevant persons in charge of the Secretariat of China Dredging Association attended the meeting.
